At American Telemed Evaluations LLC, we work directly with Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals online (Tirzepatide). No compounding medications or web based imitation medications are used. Price for medication varies on your dosage (higher doses are more expensive). Insurance is not accepted, but you may apply for reimbursement from your insurance company.

You will be evaluated by a board certified Nurse Practitioner licensed in both NY and CT with over 40 years in practice. Consultations are performed in a professional, discrete manner.
Connecticut and New York Residents: A telemedicine encounter (via computer or smartphone) will be conducted.

Click on the "Sign Up" Button to begin the process. Your medical information will be kept confidential on a HIPAA compliant platform where you will have access to all documents. If you meet the criteria to become a patient, you will receive GLP-1 medications delivered to your home.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW:

Taking a GLP-1 receptor agonist (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide) for weight loss offers several clinically proven health benefits that go far beyond just dropping numbers on a scale. Here is a breakdown of why these medications have become such a significant tool in metabolic health:

1. Highly Effective, Clinically Proven Weight Loss - Diet and exercise alone can sometimes hit a metabolic wall. GLP-1 medications mimic natural gut hormones to help patients lose significant amounts of weight. On average:
• Wegovy (semaglutide): Typically results in a 10% to 15%reduction in body weight.
• Zepbound (tirzepatide): Can lead to 15% to 20% weight loss at higher doses.
• Emerging Treatments: Newer triple-hormone medications currently in clinical trials (like retatrutide) show weight reductions of up to 28%.

2. Elimination of "Food Noise" and Cravings - One of the most life-changing effects reported by users is the quietening of "food noise” the constant, intrusive mental chatter about cravings, what your next meal will be, or the impulse to binge. By targeting appetite control centers in the brain, GLP-1s help you feel genuinely satisfied with smaller, healthier portions.

3. Major Cardiovascular and Organ Protection - Obesity is a major risk factor for chronic diseases. Clinical reviews tracking tens of thousands of patients show that GLP-1 medications offer massive long-term physical benefits:
• Heart Health: They reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events—like heart attacks, strokes, and heart failure—by about 13%.
• Kidney & Liver Function: They help slow the progression of kidney disease and have been shown to reduce fat accumulation in the liver, protecting against fatty liver disease.
• Sleep Apnea & Joint Relief: Substantial weight loss drastically reduces the severity of obstructive sleep apnea and relieves mechanical stress on knees and hips, significantly decreasing joint pain.

4. Better Blood Sugar & Insulin Regulation- Because these medications were originally designed to treat Type 2 diabetes, they work beautifully to optimize how your body handles carbohydrates. They prompt your pancreas to release insulin only when your blood sugar is high and slow down stomach emptying. This prevents drastic blood sugar spikes and crashes, lowering overall insulin resistance.
Important Considerations to Keep in Mind:
While the benefits are extensive, they are not a "quick fix" and require careful consideration:
• Side Effects: The most common side effects are gastrointestinal (nausea, diarrhea, constipation, or bloating), though these usually ease up as your body adjusts.
• Muscle Mass: Rapid weight loss can cause you to lose lean muscle along with fat. Incorporating strength training and adequate protein intake is crucial.
• Long-Term Commitment: Obesity is a chronic condition. Studies show that when people stop taking the medication, the "food noise" returns and weight is often regained. Many doctors view these as long-term or lifelong treatments, much like blood pressure medication.
